About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP of Business Development to join their team. This pivotal role involves shaping and driving the sales strategy to ensure the company's success and growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new businesses within their designated territory, with a focus on managing professional relationships in the pursuit of new opportunities. Key responsibilities include building trusted advisor relationships with client executives, sustaining these relationships throughout the engagement life cycle, and delivering differentiated client experiences. The role also requires a leadership position in pursuits, proposals, and overall account management, as well as the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams. Applicants for the VP of Business Development position at the company should have a passion for client service and impact, a proven track record in delivering high-impact solutions, and at least 10-15 years of relevant professional experience. This experience must include over 5 years in a similar role, specifically serving private equity clients and/or portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the software industry, strong professional services sales management knowledge, and a demonstrated ability to leverage a pre-existing network of clients. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA being desirable. The role demands a professional with poise, executive presence, and outstanding communication skills, who can function effectively as both an individual contributor and a leader.
