Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician with an ASCP or AMT certification to join our hospital's diagnostic team for a short-term assignment in a Washington hospital. The MLT will perform routine laboratory tests, analyze samples, and ensure accurate and timely results to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

HealthCare Staffing Solutions (HCSS) is a national company that helps hospitals in crisis situations. We have some short-term assignments (3 to 7 days) coming up in Washington. In addition to a high hourly rate, we would also be paying for your travel, housing in a 4-5 star hotel, and a daily meal stipend. You would be working in a large acute hospital with several other Allied clinicians also working short term assignments to help take care of patients in need of your skills.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples.
* Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
* Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure quality and safety.
* Record, analyze, and interpret test results accurately.
* Prepare reports and communicate findings to physicians and medical staff.
* Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and proper storage of specimens.
* Assist in inventory management and order supplies as needed.
* Adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards concerning patient information.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $80.00 per hour

Schedule:
* 12 hour shift
