• Maintain proper inventories by placing purchase orders and transfers in a timely fashion
• Expedite or de-expedite materials proactively to respond to changes in demand
• Analyze vendor performance KPI and communicate corrective actions
• Process returns to vendors
• Knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures
• Keep pricing up to date in purchasing price book and keep price change report updated

Buyer Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business/Logistics with experience in material planning and purchasing
• Experience with an ERP utilizing MRP
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• High level of math and analytical skills
• Good negotiation skills
