Express Healthcare Staffing of Washington is seeking a travel nurse RN Case Manager, Utilization Review for a travel nursing job in Olympia, Washington.
Job Description & Requirements We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Case Manager – Utilization Review to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating appropriate patient care by performing comprehensive utilization reviews to ensure medical necessity, appropriate levels of care, and compliance with payer guidelines and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN), Social Worker, or possess equivalent clinical qualifications, with strong knowledge of utilization management, discharge planning, and healthcare reimbursement systems. Key responsibilities include conducting clinical reviews, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, communicating with insurance providers to obtain authorizations, and advocating for timely and efficient patient care transitions. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Special Requirements: Inpatient Acute care experience is required and is a HARD STOP. Units served include ICU, PCU, ED, Family Birth, Adult Medical. Nice to have Milliman Guidelines or InterQual Criteria
