Job Description

Duration: 9 months to start

Location: Hybrid – Work from home but must be close enough to Milwaukee to go into the office for team collaboration.

Expected Start / End Time: 8 AM - 5 PM

Job Duties:

• Compose, organize, and edit technical documents with a focus on clarity and user accessibility .
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of technical information to produce accurate, concise, and engaging materials .
• Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create and maintain policies, procedures, and standards documentation .
• Translate complex technical concepts into simplified, user-friendly language tailored for diverse audiences.
• Oversee the preparation, editing, and verification of technical information to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Review, revise, and enhance existing documentation to meet organizational standards and best practices.
• Maintain consistent formatting, style, and tone across all technical documents.
• Communicate complex ideas and technical concepts effectively and concisely .
• Contribute to team collaboration and provide guidance on documentation standards and processes .

Minimum Qualifications:

Interpersonal Skills:

• Strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities when working with diverse teams and managing strong personalities .
• Flexibility and emotional intelligence to navigate differing perspectives and foster a positive work environment .

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Technical Communication, English, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Education and certifications will be reviewed based on best practices and relevance to the role .

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in technical writing and communication .
• Exceptional multitasking ability , with a proven track record of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines .
• Strong aptitude for understanding and explaining complex technical concepts .
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, Visio, and SharePoint .
• High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results .

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must exhibit the following:

• Experience in IT infrastructure and telecommunications industries .
• Familiarity with utility industry standards for documentation .
