Certified Home Nursing Solutions is looking for a Staffing Recruiter
Summary
Our staffing company is looking for an experienced Recruiter to lead our talent acquisition efforts across Maryland and attract new talent to meet our agency's growing needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience collaborating with external agencies to maximize candidate outreach, particularly in recruiting for healthcare or residential care roles. A successful Recruiter will have a keen eye for reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and connecting compassionate caregivers with meaningful employment opportunities. This role requires a high level of professionalism, strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the flexibility to travel between different locations. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
•Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for caregivers, nursing staff, and other healthcare roles across CHNS service locations.
•Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and community outreach.
•Conduct interviews, screen applicants, and coordinate background checks and credential verifications.
•Collaborate with leadership and department managers to understand staffing needs and ensure timely fulfillment.
•Accurately maintain and update candidate databases and recruitment records.
•Represent CHNS at job fairs, community events, and industry gatherings to promote career opportunities.
•Assist with onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
•Track recruitment metrics and provide regular reports to management.
•Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and CHNS policies.
•Travel regularly between the Chester headquarters and other offices in Nottingham, Salisbury, and surrounding regions.
•Be flexible and available to work occasional weekends and outside regular business hours to meet recruitment demands.
•Monitor and report on recruitment performance metrics to leadership, providing actionable insights.
•Ensure all recruitment communications align with CHNS's mission, values, and regulatory standards.
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
•A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare management, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
•A minimum of 1 to 2 years of recruiting experience is required, preferably in healthcare, senior care, or related fields.
•Strong knowledge of recruiting best practices, sourcing techniques, and applicant tracking systems.
•Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a family-owned business culture.
Comfortable with regular travel between multiple locations in Maryland.
•Flexibility to work some weekends and outside of regular business hours as needed.
•A genuine passion for caregiving and a commitment to supporting quality care through adequate staffing.
•Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
Licensure, and/or Certification: CPR and First Aid Card, Driver's License, Social Security, current Physical and PPD,
Special Training: Basic Life Support; Bilingual is a plus, but not necessary
Training Preferred: Certified Medical Assistant or other healthcare certification
Experience: One to 2 years of experience required.
Interpersonal Skills: Interaction is with a variety of people inside or outside the organization. Communications are of moderate difficulty and sensitivity. Contact with others may involve detailed & lengthy dialogues & exchanges of information. Requires a moderate amount of interpersonal skills. Interactions involve dealing with moderately complicated problem situations or stressful encounters.
Position: Full-Time
