Job Description

A Software Systems Engineering job in Louisville, CO is currently available at Belcan supporting our key aerospace clients. This is a direct, fulltime position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will have a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience in software systems engineering with exposure to system architecture, design, integration, verification and validation. Candidate must currently have Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain it.

Our Systems Engineers are proactive self-starters who can orient to new situations quickly and apply logical problem-solving skills to address customers' most challenging issues. Successful Systems Engineers typically have a foundation in systems design and have experience in most phases of the product development life cycle. Belcan supports a variety of interesting and exciting programs and customers, providing our engineers an excellent opportunity to work across multiple domains and industries.

Job Duties:

· Develop complex software system architectures.

· Requirements decomposition and management.

· Develop software interface control documents.

· Perform verification planning and develop V&V plans, procedures, and reports.

· Work complex programs with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

· Mentor and guide other engineers on technical designs or processes.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor"s Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.

· 10+ years of systems engineering experience.

· Requirements analysis, definition and management, including but not limited to functional analysis, performance analysis, system architecture and design, and systems integration.

· Strong understanding of software practices and terminology.

· Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, and MATLAB.

· Experience with spacecraft or satellite systems, software, and components.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED

· Candidate must currently posses active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain clearance.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

· Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutions.

· Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success.

· Self-starter that can perform independently with minimal direction.

· Understand and apply regulatory standards to certify design packages.

· Proven system engineering experience in full life cycle design on military or civil programs.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $105,000-$160,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
