Civilian Job (Federal Civilian Employment) Security Guard Hiring Bonus!

• USAG Alaska is looking for a full-time Security Guard.
• Relocation and recruitment incentives may be available! You could be eligible for a 25% bonus over 3 years.

• "Buy back" your previous military time and be that much closer to a full Federal retirement. 
• The job starts at the GS4 level and is developmental with promotions annually to GS6 (you have to meet you training and performance objectives for the promotions, of course).
• The base hourly pay is $19.15 at the absolute lowest (GS4) but shift work and the opportunity for overtime will substantially increase the hourly pay.
• Once you hit GS6 the base pay is 23.88 an hour with routine step increases to $31.04 (2024 pay scale).

• Respond to and/or contain crises or urgent situations including accidents; man-made, biological, chemical, radiological, or natural disasters; or other incidents that could result in harm to people, property, or the environment.
• Control access to the installation/Federal property and restricted areas, identify security risks, and provide traffic management.
• Apply requirements for equipping and securing government and contractor facilities to guard against unauthorized access, identify suspicious activities, and ensure continuity of operations.
• Operate security-related equipment (both manual and automated) or devices.
• Receive, authenticate, and vet visitors entering an installation.
