Position Type: Administrative/Principal Date Posted: 4/1/2025 Location: District wide Closing Date: 12/31/2025 Irvington Public Schools Posting No. 5341 Positions: Principal Qualifications: New Jersey Administrator Certification required Master's degree required, Doctoral degree preferred Additional recent course work in relevant areas of curriculum, instruction, and testing Documented successful experience in the analysis, interpretation and reporting of test-performance levels of students grades K to 12. 3 years' prior school-level administrative experience (preferred) Responsibilities: Evaluates the development of appropriate curriculum in connection with the State Core Curriculum Content Standards and subject area supervisors. Provides direction for long-range planning, program evaluation, and student assessment in curriculum, instruction and pupil assessment. Reviews curriculum guides and courses of study. Oversees the complete operation of the school building, including supervision of staff, programs and graduation of students. Evaluates textbooks and instructional materials and maintains the district wide inventory of all textbooks. Evaluates staff using Danielson Performs such additional duties as delegated by the Superintendent and/or the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.
