\n What You’ll Do:
\n* Assist attorneys in preparing and processing a wide range of legal documents, including correspondence, summonses, complaints, motions, responses, subpoenas, appeals, and pretrial agreements.
\n* Conduct thorough legal research and review legal journals to support ongoing cases and initiatives.
\n* Gather essential information and records, such as employment and medical data, to aid legal proceedings.
\n* Attend crucial legal meetings, including client interviews, hearings, and depositions, to meticulously record notes.
\n* Maintain and organize legal resources, documents, and case files with precision.
\n* Provide guidance and support to new legal professionals in preparing court submissions.
Must-Have Skills:
\n* Associate’s degree in paralegal studies or equivalent specialized training.
\n* 0-2 years of experience in a legal support role.
\n* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
\n* Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
\n* Foundational understanding of legal principles, court procedures, government regulations, and the democratic political process.
\n* Proficiency in standard computer applications, including word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software.
\n* Ability to work effectively independently and manage time efficiently.
This is an hybrid position in Detroit, MI. All candidates must be local and elgible to work in the US without a sponsorship.
\nThe target hiring compensation range for this role is 24/hour, depending on experience. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
