About the Role

We’re seeking a smart, organized, and proactive individual to join our growing law firm as a  Paralegal & Firm Support Specialist . This is a unique combination of roles for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in being the glue that holds a team together. While your core responsibilities will be legal support in nature, you’ll also provide key backup support to reception, assist with phones, help keep the office running smoothly, and jump in wherever needed to support the team.

Key Responsibilities

Paralegal Support

• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence

• Conduct legal research and summarize findings

• Assist attorneys in case preparation, document organization, and deadlines

• Maintain case files in both physical and digital formats

• Prepare and maintain client intake documentation and engagement agreements

Reception & Administrative Backup

• Provide backup coverage for phones and front desk as needed

• Greet clients and visitors with professionalism and warmth

• Manage incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries

• Help monitor and restock office supplies and kitchen items

• Assist with general office organization and upkeep

Team Collaboration

• Take initiative to jump in and help with urgent needs across departments

• Support the attorneys and operations team with ad hoc projects

• Help maintain a positive, solutions-oriented office culture

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience (law firm setting preferred)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail

• Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal software (MyCase or similar a plus)

• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure

• Friendly, professional, and a true team player willing to help wherever needed

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience in a small or midsize law firm setting

• Bilingual (not required, but appreciated)

• Familiarity with front office operations or client service roles
