Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed
Mental Health Therapist Intern to join our team! In this role, you will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. We are looking for full-time and/or part-time fully licensed interns, CPC-I, MFT-I, CSW-I for our Las Vegas office located in the Southwest Valley.
Therapist Job Responsibilities:
- Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients for mental health disorders.
- Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
- Meet with patients regularly to provide psychotherapy, counseling, and treatment as necessary.
- Develop, maintain, and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress.
- Involve and advise family members when appropriate.
- Refer patients to specialists or agencies when necessary.
- Maintain thorough records of patient meetings, progress, and any necessary documentation needed to ensure on-going treatment.
- Follow all safety protocols, maintain client confidentiality, adhere to all HIPPA requirements.
- Contribute to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Therapist Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong clinical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to build rapport quickly
- Detail oriented
- Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy
- Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
- Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Masters degree and license in perspective field, psychology, counseling, social work or marriage and family therapy required
- Current with all state licensing requirements
- Clinical experience
