Industrial Engineer Intern - Summer 2025

CACI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineering intern with a focus on supply chain and logistics to join our team for the summer of 2025 in San Antonio, Texas. This internship is designed for students in their 3rd or 4th year of university, majoring in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real-world projects and gain valuable experience in optimizing supply chain processes and logistics operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analyzing and improving supply chain and logistics processes
  • Help collect and analyze data for inventory management and distribution optimization
  • Contribute to the development of supply chain network models and simulations
  • Assist in implementing lean principles in logistics operations
  • Support the team in creating and maintaining logistics performance metrics
  • Help with warehouse layout projects

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelors degree program in Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with supply chain management software
  • Basic understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations
  • Knowledge of inventory management techniques and distribution systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and apply industrial engineering concepts in supply chain and logistics
  • Knowledge of project management principles
  • Relevant coursework or projects in supply chain management or logistics optimization
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Previous internship, academic, or other related experience

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
