Job Overview – Financial Controller (Remote):

Take on a key leadership role with our client as a Financial Controller in a fully remote capacity. This position is ideal for a finance professional with strong expertise in financial reporting, FP&A, and process optimization. You will oversee month-end close, compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and M&A activities while implementing financial strategies to drive operational efficiency. Proficiency in NetSuite, Concur, and advanced Excel is highly preferred.

Compensation: $160,000 – $175,000/year + bonus

Location: Remote Role

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Full-Time)

Responsibilities as the Financial Controller:

• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee month-end close, ensure accurate financial reporting, and manage tax filings, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Accounting Operations: Supervise accounting functions, intercompany transactions, and commission/bonus processing while maintaining financial integrity.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop budgets, prepare financial forecasts, and generate company-wide financial summaries to support business planning.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, provide insights to leadership, and develop models for strategic decision-making.
• Process Improvement & Systems Management: Enhance accounting systems, maintain process documentation, and oversee financial software functions.
• Executive Collaboration & M&A Support: Partner with leadership on financial strategy, monitor key metrics, and manage M&A activities, including balance sheet preparations and earnouts.

Qualifications for the Financial Controller:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required (CPA preferred).
• Experience: 6+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including 5+ years in a managerial capacity.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in NetSuite, advanced Excel (including complex formulas), and familiarity with Procurify, FP&A software, and Concur.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and IFRS 16, M&A financial activities, and financial statement analysis (P&L and Balance Sheet).
• Skills & Attributes: Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and analytical approach.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and executive leadership.
