Summary

Under direction of the EHS Supervisor and/or the VP of Strategic Manufacturing, the Environmental Health and Safety Intern supports various projects and initiatives within the Environmental Health and Safety Department (EHS)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides administrative support to different projects within the EHS Department.
• Gathers and organizes information about incident reports, metrics and injury case
• Collaborates in the development of the safety plan for the shop
• Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with OSHA guidelines

Qualifications: Education and/or Experience

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university pursuing an Occupational Health and Safety degree, Environmental engineering, Environmental Science or related field
• Currently a sophomore or later status

General Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office required. Excellent Excel skills are a plus
• Excellent communication & organizational skills
• High attention to detail
• Self-motivated
• Time management skills: Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks
• Able to work well within a team, as well as work independently on projects
• Available to work full-time in the summer
