The Director of Events oversees strategic internal and external event planning and execution, managing budgets, staff, and vendor relationships to support institutional goals like brand enhancement, community engagement, and fundraising. Responsibilities Lead, manage, and develop a team of event professionals and student staff. Coordinate logistics for high‑profile events such as graduations, conferences, public lectures, award ceremonies, and campus open days. Marketing campus facilities for external rentals and secure business opportunities for campus events. Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, agenda planning, food and beverage, staffing, and day‑of on‑site coordination. Manage event budgets, track expenditures, and maximize revenue from events and facility rentals. Develop marketing plans to attract external clients and promote campus facilities. Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure excellent service to clients and guests. Ensure all events comply with university policies, regulations, and legal requirements. Review, analyze, and evaluate event effectiveness, and recommend improvements. Strategically plan and execute signature university events, internal events, and external events hosted by external organizations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience in event planning and management, especially large‑scale, high‑profile events. Strong financial management and negotiation skills.
