Key Responsibilities for the Cost Accountant:

• Expense Tracking: Monitor labor, materials, subcontractor, and other cost-related expenses across multiple locations.
• Production Reconciliation: As a Cost Accountant , you will collect, verify, and enter daily production data from the field, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved.
• Inventory Management: Review intra-company inventory transfers, ensuring proper transfer pricing and accuracy.
• Variance Analysis: Perform weekly reviews of inventory reports and conduct variance analysis by location.
• Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed cost-related & ad hoc reports for management.
• Closing Processes: Support both month-end and year-end closing processes to maintain financial integrity.
• Audit and Compliance: Contribute to producing accurate financial statements and support external audit processes.
• Standard Cost Analysis: Assist in analyzing and establishing standard costs for produced materials and regularly update these cost standards.
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis

Qualifications: Cost Accountant

• BS, Finance/Accounting or related
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
