Cost Accountant

Excited to once again partner with our client in Columbus, Ohio. This organization in the Central Ohio area is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant. Bring your experience with standard cost accounting processes to an engaged and friendly team to make an impact!

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COST ACCOUNTANT:

• Processing of accounts payable transactions
• Maintain the AP subledger and processing payments to division suppliers
• Perform costing and material analysis including Bill of Materials setup
• The Cost Accountant will participate in close process of material variance and inventory analysis
• Identify cost-saving opportunities
• Assist in financial statement preparation
• Support pricing decisions with cost data
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards

REQUIREMENTS OF THE COST ACCOUNTANT:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing
• The Cost Accountant will possess Strong Excel skills
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills
