Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects ranging from 1-10MW across multiple sites in Riverside, Sacramento, and San Diego, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, particularly within the solar and BESS industries, and be adept at coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Supervision & Coordination:
• Oversee daily site operations, including subcontractor activities and crew management.
• Coordinate with on-site personnel and engineers as needed.
• Plan and schedule project tasks on a daily/weekly basis to ensure timely completion.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Complete and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), daily reports, and timecards.
• Materials Management:
• Manage submittals, ordering, and procuring of materials.
• Blueprints & Drawings:
• Read and interpret civil, electrical, and industrial blueprints and drawings.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure safety standards and compliance protocols are followed, including OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of Construction Management/Supervision experience, preferably in Solar or BESS projects.
• At least 3 years of Electrical background with knowledge of pad installs and underground experience.
• 4-5 years of commercial solar experience (utility-scale is a plus).
• 3 years of BESS experience is required.

Software Proficiency:

• ProCore – Construction management platform.
• PDF – For reviewing and marking up documents.
• Microsoft 365 – Including Word, Excel, and Outlook for communication and reporting.

Certifications:

• OSHA 30 – Required.
• Heavy Equipment Certification – Required.
• CPR/First Aid – Required.
• LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) knowledge – Required.
• Journeyman Certification – Preferred.
• NFPA 70E Certification – Preferred.
