Job Description

The HIGH POINT (NC) ROCKERS of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball are searching for a dynamic person to join our team as COMMUNITY MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR. The opportunity is an entry level to mid-level position and will start immediately. The Rockers are managed by the High Point Downtown Stadium Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit that oversees both the team and the operations of Truist Point, the home ballpark for the Rockers. The multi-purpose facility also hosts the Carolina Core FC, a member of MLS NextPro professional soccer. The facility also hosts numerous other events including the 2025 Big South Conference Baseball Championship (NCAA). High Point is located 80 north of Charlotte and 15 miles from both Winston-Salem and Greensboro.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage all community efforts of the High Point Rockers including community appearances, volunteer efforts, mascot appearances, donation requests and engagement with area organizations and non-profits. Represent the organization at community events and on community committees when assigned. Seek opportunities for team mascot to get exposure and make appearances in the community. Handle all social media efforts for team and foundation across all social media platforms. Devise and execute a social media marketing plan to cover both the baseball season and the off-season promoting team events, promotions and activities. Design accompanying social media graphics used in social media marketing plan. Layout and design promotional flyers used by staff throughout year. Design static graphics for stadium video board. Responsible for daily update and maintenance of team website. Work closely with team marketing agency. Develop and execute a marketing plan for team promotional activities. Field and review all marketing opportunities in the community. Meet with media marketing representatives to discuss media partnerships. Plan and execute community elements of Rocker baseball games including first pitch and national anthem. Coordinate the team's nightly salute to military veterans and veteran involvement year-round. Hire and supervise annual and seasonal interns to assist with marketing and community efforts. Work all Rockers home games and other select events. Other duties as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree in marketing or sport management. Minimum of 2 years experience in marketing and social media preferred. Experience working in baseball also preferred. Knowledge of baseball a must. Working knowledge of Canva and Adobe Photo Shop required. Knowledge of all social media platforms including all Meta platforms required. Must be enthusiastic, creative and motivated to make a difference. Ability to work independently and also work with the Communications team. Must be detail oriented and organized. Team player able to work with all members of the staff. Reports to President and Assistant General Manager. DETAILS Full time exempt salaried position. Base salary plus potential for commission and special event pay. Competitive benefits package including health insurance, dental and vision.
