About This Position: The Project Manager functions as a fully competent engineer in all aspects of the assignments. Responsibilities include developing and evaluating plans for various projects, with design experience in site layout, grading, water, wastewater, stormwater management, and infrastructure facilities. The role involves preparing proposal scopes and fees, client-facing consulting, and design leadership, with occasional outside-of-hours work for public meetings or client requests, and field visits for investigations and construction support. Essential Job Functions: Manage client relations, design staff, and project schedules. Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary projects. Ensure project document accuracy and conformance with QA/QC standards. Represent the firm in communications, presentations, and business development events. Prepare proposals and participate in interviews. Manage project finances, including invoicing and budget controls. Understand local zoning, land use, SEQRA, and permitting processes. Mentor and guide junior staff and engineers. Oversee entry-level staff and technicians, delegating tasks and ensuring quality. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in NY required. 7+ years of relevant experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Knowledge of construction methods; proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D is a plus. Certifications like LEED, CPESC, CPSWQ are a plus. Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling is advantageous. Pay Range: Albany: $45/hour - $60/hour Westchester - White Plains: $49/hour - $72/hour Pay is commensurate with experience.
