Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

Battery Integration Engineering Intern What You’ll Do: - Work closely with the battery integration engineering team to support system level testing and aircraft integration
- Prepare technical documentation, including test plans and reports, or design documents for system models
- Engage actively in problem-solving efforts, offering innovative solutions and troubleshooting issues as they come up.
- Research key engineering topics, analyze data, and present insights to inform project decisions
- Create and synthesize models of battery performance to match and predict aircraft test data
- Benchmark the accuracy of different cell model structures across expected operating conditions
- Specify and execute tests in integrated test setups, up to and including an iron bird
What You Need: - Currently enrolled in a degree program related to engineering, manufacturing, computer science or a related field at an accredited university, preferably a Junior going in to your Senior year
Coursework in thermodynamics, linear control systems, Kalman filtering, state estimation, system identification, and/or nonlinear control system - Hands on experience with battery systems
Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink and/or python - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Able to commit to a 10 week internship
