Job Description

• Evaluate and manage athletic injuries.  
• Aid in the prevention of athletic injuries.
• Conduct health screenings and evaluation of student-athletes.
• Assist with the administration of insurance claims.
• Supervise work-study students assigned.
• Maintain training records and related documents.
• Assist with the maintenance of inventory.
• Administer appropriate coverage for practices and competition.
• Act as liaison between medical staff and head coaches
• Attend department meetings and execute follow-ups as necessary
• Support the university’s Zero Tolerance policy and educational programs for student-athlete welfare
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Athletic Administration.

Requirements

Education, Training, and/or Experience :

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required.  
Must be certified or eligible for certification by The Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers. Must have current CPR/AED and first aid certification.

• Highly proficient with Computer Skills (Microsoft Word Suite and other related software)
• Ability to make recommendations to the area that will enhance, correct, or streamline program operational activities.
