Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Assistant Principal with at least 5 years of educational leadership or teaching experience, a valid Florida Teaching Certification, and successful completion of the Florida Educational Leadership Examination (FELE). This individual will play a vital role in supporting the Principal, driving academic achievement, and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As an Assistant Principal in a private elementary school, you will:

Instructional Leadership

  • Support teachers in implementing Florida state standards and evidence-based instructional practices.
  • Conduct classroom observations, provide feedback, and mentor teachers for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee curriculum alignment with state standards and district requirements.
  • Analyze assessment data to guide school improvement strategies.

Student Support & Discipline

  • Enforce school policies, codes of conduct, and student discipline procedures in compliance with Florida DOE guidelines.
  • Promote positive behavior interventions and restorative practices.
  • Collaborate with guidance counselors, social workers, and staff to meet student needs.

School Operations & Administration

  • Assist with the management of daily operations, schedules, and school safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with facilities and district personnel to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Oversee standardized testing procedures and ensure fidelity to Florida DOE requirements.
  • Contribute to budget planning, resource allocation, and grant management.

Family & Community Engagement

  • Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community partners.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance, behavior, and school initiatives.
  • Lead and support extracurricular programs, after-school activities, and community events.

Leadership & Professional Development

  • Collaborate with the Principal to set school goals and implement improvement plans.
  • Participate in teacher evaluations and support professional growth plans.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, equity, and high expectations for all.
  • Lead staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school committees.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida Teaching Certification (required)
  • Florida Educational Leadership Examination (FELE) – mandatory
  • 5–8 years of teaching or administrative experience in a K-12 setting
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead teams in a collaborative school environment

Compensation & Benefits
